DIALOG #II
The Vorarlberg Museum has, in a sense, made it part of its program to bring works from the depot of the regional collection into the light and, through cooperative exhibitions with other art institutions in the region, to make them more widely accessible to the public. One such collaboration has already been successfully established with QuadrART Dornbirn.

ALESSANDRA BELTRAME
The work “INVESTMENT” by Alessandra Beltrame appears enigmatic. At first, the viewer is dazzled by the golden packages—mysterious little pouches that may contain something promising, yet remain concealed. The installation refers to stock trading and to the increasingly distorted and alarming financial world of our time. Stock markets lure investors with high returns like modern golden calves, yet in the very next moment they can lead to ruin.
Alongside Beltrame’s work stands Christine Lederer’s room installation “Carriers of Memory and Emotional Fragments within a Self.” In contrast to the detachment of the trading floors, this work turns toward questions of identity, sense of place, personal atmosphere, worldview, and a deep affection for what lies in the past.
