By wrapping selected objects—encountered by chance throughout her life—in gold leather, the artist erases any objective individuality, integrating them into a gilded uniformity like fragments of an as-yet unpublished narrative. Social or political references, as well as identifiable associations, inevitably emerge. Yet such readings would be reductive, if not even misleading.

Instead, the artist weaves a parcours of displacements, shifting perception beyond the secure boundaries of the familiar. In doing so, the act of viewing opens the possibility of articulating an alternative reading of apparent reality.
